Online Marketing Specialist

Description of Position:                        
To formulate and execute an online plan derived from the marketing strategy to meet the overall company objectives. To drive the incremental lifetime value of all online marketing activities. Responsible for the commercial performance and customer on-line experience.  Be an integral part of the marketing team to provide support to sales.

Key Performance Areas:                    
Website

Overall responsibility for updating, maintenance and optimization using various tools

  • Responsible for website maintenance
  • Manage content using CMs
  • Create and upload content and images
  • Conduct key word research  and SEO optimised content
  • Analyse visitor behaviour to inform and optimise appropriate content  and strategy
  • Use website analytics (e.g. Google) and other online reporting tools to evaluate the performance of the website and opportunities for improvements
  • Collaborating with relevant teams (locally and internationally) to create landing pages and optimise user experience
  • Manage in conjunction with the national sales manager the website enquiries process by disseminating enquiries to sales team and generating reports
  • Work closely with Manager: Sales Systems to ensure all products are updated regularly and comply to CI for website linkages

Social Media

Build, grow and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google +and any additional channels that may be deemed relevant

  • Implement campaigns and tactics to grow our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company
  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific products or campaigns to spread both our brand and our content
  • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success (e.g., Twitter chats, LinkedIn discussions, etc.)
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from new audiences
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks appropriate to our target audience and industry
  • Track, measure, and analyse all initiatives to report on social media including ROI

Digital (e-mail and mobile)
Using target audience segmentation, develop, implement, track and optimise digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels

  • Establish a segmented approach to email and mobile marketing to improve customer engagement
  • Analyse and report on campaign results and customer behaviour
  • Use findings to lead customer segmentation and targeting efforts
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Liaise with all internal/ external stakeholders regularly to ensure all online campaign/channel activity initiatives are properly identified, communicated, planned, executed and measured
  • Assist with briefs for website banners and in-house TV adverts/content
  • Assist with online directories e.g. content management

E-commerce
Responsible for growing the e-commerce activities and revenue streams to achieve online sales targets in conjunction with sales

  • Exploit the internet as a sales, business development and customer interaction tool to reach the commercial objectives set for this channel
  • Work closely with the Sales team to develop a e commerce sales strategy including the management of all online sales activities
  • Co-ordinate with the e various product managers all online products information including pricing
  • Develop segmented customer profiles based on common characteristics including customer type, purchase history, behaviour, demographics and industry
  • Understand and ensure all e-commerce activities compile with all legal requirements

General

  • Assist with the development and execution of the overall marketing plan including budget
  • Compile the annual digital/e-commerce marketing plan
  • Create monthly/weekly reports or as required such as website, campaigns Exco, and Managers
  • Build and maintain relationships to share knowledge and experiences gained in local market across the global network
  • Co-ordinator with the Marketing Manager the customer survey (in-house or external provider) on an annual basis from question to overall analysis of the results
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Research and evaluate new digital/e-commerce opportunities and technologies that may benefit the business including mobile and social media
  • Build and maintain brand awareness using the corporate identity and ensure all marketing related policies and procedures ( e.g. e-mail signature) are adhered to
  • General administrative duties

Additional Job related requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Proficiency in using social media software (e.g. HubSpot's Social Inbox) to monitor social media conversations
  • Experience in setting up and optimising Google Adwords campaigns
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital/e-commerce marketing and measurement
  • Thorough knowledge of various IT applications such as MS Office and adobe Creative suite
  • Own transport required and driver licence

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Marketing qualification, preferably a marketing degree with at least 3 years’ online marketing work experience
  • Proven working experience (minimum of 3 years) in the e-commerce/onlinel marketing environment (e.g. SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of social media trends in B2B environment

Internal Sales

HellermannTyton Johannesburg, South Africa is seeking a dynamic, ambitious and self-motivated Internal sales person to perform day-to-day tasks associated with a sales call centre, including telephonic, e-mail and fax communications, sales order processing and general clerical functions, in accordance with the company’s quality management systems, processes and procedures.

Some of the Key Performance Areas would include:                                                      

  • Order processing
  • Interacting with customers regarding enquiries and queries.
  • Technical Support
  • Developing of new clients and maintaining existing client base
  • Achieve monthly sales targets
  • Managing sales processes
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure that sales objectives are met.
  • Monitor competitor activities by obtaining information on competitors and market trends.
  • Processing quotations for customers.
  • Following up on quotations to convert into orders.
  • Attend product training and events from time to time.
